"To come to your wedding day after a year of preparation is overwhelming, but you all made it so smooth. I didn’t have to worry about a thing and I think that just about every guest specifically came up to me to say what a beautiful location and wedding. The cabin was a perfect retreat after a long, wonderful day. Thank you all so much!"

Guest Cottages Our guest cottages are arranged to provide a homey environment during your stay. Each cottage (with the exception of Blue Heron) has a fully equipped kitchen, one to four bedrooms, one to two bathrooms and a large living space. By design, they do not have televisions or phones. It is our goal to maximize your awareness of the music of the woods, and to draw you outdoors to explore, fish (bring your own gear) or play.
Six cottages with king or queen bedrooms are available. The additional bedrooms are all equipped with single beds/bunk beds, accommodating a total of 47 guests. Five cottages rent for $250, additional nights $150. Our honeymoon cottage (The Pines) rents for $200 additional nights $100. Blue Heron cottage can be rented as a whole or as five individual (Ind.) rooms. See complete rates. All rates are subject to a 7% room tax.

Our eighty acres is heavily timbered with stands of 80 to 100 year old Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar, along with companion specimens of alder, hemlock, vine maple, yew, wild dogwood and big leaf maple. The topography is varied and includes several miles of hiking trails, two creeks, a lake and a pond.
The camp is 35 miles southeast of Portland, Oregon, in the hamlet of Colton, between Molalla and Estacada. The location puts us within easy reach of a variety of recreational distractions. It is a 45 minute drive to most locations in Portland, an hour and a quarter to skiing on Mt. Hood (some years Nov through Aug), 20 minutes to rafting on the Clackamas River, and an easy drive to enjoy exploring the Columbia River Gorge.
Individuals and families staying with us enjoy hiking and exploring, fishing in the creeks or in our trout ponds (bring your own gear), bird watching, photography, creek walking in summer, playing horseshoes, and evening campfires. Whether you are in our area to visit relatives, attend a wedding or choose us as a destination for a personal retreat, you will find the setting in our forest soothing and exciting at once!
