Forest Tea Workshop With Kate Stinson

Event Details

Kate Stinson of ‘Nature Engaging Nature’ will be joining us from 11am - 1pm for a free workshop during open park hours.

There are only a few spots left so make sure to RSVP below! Kate will be taking donations after the workshop if you are able. Suggested donation $10-$30.

Workshop Description

Ever wondered what trees taste like? Join us for a sensory journey through Camp Colton's forest trails, where you'll learn to identify 3-4 native conifers by their bark and needles. Practice honorable harvest as you gather their branchlets, connecting with nature in a meaningful way. Then, step into the kitchen to wash, prepare, and steep your foraged treasures, creating unique infusions that capture the essence of the trees. Taste each infusion, describe its flavors, and choose your favorite. It's a delicious way to deepen your bond with the forest!

The workshop will begin at the Gazebo. Please arrive between 10:45am - 11am.
