Open Park Day + Seed Exchange

Camp Colton community event for Portland. Collecting and gathering plants to share

About

Start off the spring season in the forest! Camp Colton has its monthly (ish) open park day open for self guided tours, hiking, walking, picnicking, canoeing, meditating, and whatever else you are needing from nature.

Program:

12PM - 2PM we’ll be having a community seed exchange! Gather your seeds and plant expertise as we prepare for this harvesting season.

What to bring:

Seeds – Bring seeds from your garden or extras you’ve purchased.

  • Open-pollinated, heirloom, and non-GMO seeds are encouraged.

  • Clearly label seeds with the plant type, variety, and date collected.

  • If possible, include growing tips (e.g., "likes full sun").

Containers/Bags – Bring small envelopes, bags, or containers for trading and collecting seeds.

Tools (Optional) – If you have extra gardening tools, plant markers, or seed trays to share, feel free to bring them!
